Yes!! The votes are in and we are going to TWO services!

Beginning Easter Sunday and going at least through Memorial Day weekend, Church at the Grove is going to two services. If for some reason you missed the service (either not there or serving with children) this past weekend, we will have audio CD’s this next Sunday morning. Make sure you pick one up and make your choice of which weeks you can serve with set up and children’s ministries.

I love this Church!

I am so thankful for our Launch Team and the investment they have made into the life of this church! They have given incredibly of their time, thier energy and their resources to make Church at the Grove a reality!

We are entering a new era in the life of Church at the Grove! The beautiful thing is that God has moved in such a way with our growth that we are in need of servants to step up and help us get to the next level and people this past weekend absolutely met the challenge! We connected a huge number of people into the life of the church through serving in the multiple areas of leadership! That is absolutely HUGE!

Do not forget to continue to pray and invest in conversations and people that can take advantage of our newly created seats as a result of our new service. Lets go after people with the love of Jesus in a way that makes them hungry for what God has for them!

Go ahead begin to think of who you can call and invite to one of our upcoming services!

Walk across the street, next door, start a conversation!

One Response to “We’re Going to Two Services!”

  1. Right On!!

Hey I went back down to Monroe today and had some great conversations with people on Davis Street. There was one lady that I talked to that was so guarded, she would not even look me in the eye. I started to talk to her and let her know what we were planning on doing in the area and she asked “What church are you from?” – but she said it in a harsh tone (you could tell she had many problems with “churches” in the past). I told her that I was not representing a certain church but rather I was being the church by showing the love of Christ. When I told her this her entire attitude changed; she became a new person!! She started asking questions and got really excited about our presence in the community. She even volunteered to pass out flyers and hang posters advertising our Sunday afternoon cookouts.

I think that this is a great illustration for your post, there are a lot of people out there that have bad taste in their mouths towards institutional churches (a.k.a.: geographical location, building, and services). But when the people understand and realize that we are the Church then everything changes and people’s preconceived notions about Christianity are broken down!
