Christmas is just over 2 weeks away (I am writing this Tuesday night 12.9.08) and we often feel the “consumer pressure and guilt” about this time focusing on what we “ought” to be buying for others. Giving is fun, but in tough economic times when we are trying to keep our head above water, we need to think rationally and strategically.
Do not give in to the guilt and pressure and resist the urge to overspend! Here is what you need to do:
- Plan strategically.
- Make a budget and STICK TO IT!
