Sunday Reflections and this week at the Grove

Dec 27

Well, Christmas has come and gone once again and we are about to enter a new year.

This is such a wonderful time of the year!  It feels so refreshing and it gives us the feeling that we have a chance to start over in a way.  It is such a great time of the year and it is symbolic for those of us that follow Jesus.  Jesus is about new beginnings and it is through Jesus that we actually get a new life and a new beginning!

I am so excited about what 2010 has in store for us at Church at the Grove.  We have transitioned from Youth Middle School to Walnut Grove High School and it is an incredible opportunity for us to continue with the mission God has given us!

I am so thankful for everything Nathan, Craig and Gabe shared this morning at CATGrove!  I should have taken extensive notes but since I did not I will share with you what I challenged us with this morning.

Key Scripture:
Philippians 1:9-11 (ESV)
9 And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment,
10 so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ,
11 filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

LOVE – Love God–Love people.  Choose to view life through the lens of LOVE.

GROW – Seek to grow in your relationship with Jesus.  Pursue integrity!  Pursue growth!

SHARE - Share the love of Jesus with those around you.  Produce the fruit of a Christian and grow in the fruit of the spirit.

What a great weekend we have had.  The Christmas Eve service was unbelievable and off the charts.  I could not believe how full our new auditorium was!  WOW.  I am so thankful for the hard work all of our worship team put in.  Thank you so much.

What a great Christmas weekend.  I have enjoyed so much fun with our family and friends this past weekend.  I am looking forward to this coming week.  I leave with Josiah and our teenagers with Nathan to go to YEC in Macon GA.

Next week we begin a new series called “Crazy Love” that will challenge us regarding our worship.  God’s crazy love for us should produce a crazy love response from us with our lives.

I am praying for a Happy New Year for all of you.

Keep praying, keep investing, and keep inviting!

See you next year!
