Reflections and This Week at The Grove
Mar 19
Big Idea:
Discover your spiritual gift and pursue developing it!
Scripture Memory:
1 Corinthians 12:4-6 (ESV)
4 Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit;
5 and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord;
6 and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone.
Action Step:
Put your handout where you will look at it multiple times this week and decide which two motivational gifts resonate with you the most.
Random Thoughts:
- Craig Story did an incredible job teaching on our primary spiritual gifts this past Sunday! I have talked with so many people this week that are excited about the discovery, development, and deploying their spiritual gifts in the church and the community.
- Sunday was such a great day at CATGrove! I love baby dedications and what it means for the babies, families and for our church!
- Huge crowd Sunday. Largest attandance since we moved into the high school! I love seeing so many new faces each week.
- The time-change hit me hard this week!
- I love our volunteer servants! We have the greatest in the world. Sundays could not happen without them and all they do to invest into the life of our church and making an impact in our community.
- Yesterday was the last of “Thankful Thursdays”. For two months straight our staff and volunteers have loved on Teachers and staff at Youth Middle and Walnut Grove High school. I am so thankful for all who made it possible to do ministry to these schools. Barbara Bledsoe, Lisa Malcom, and Nancy Boyd played a huge role in coordinating everything and so many prepared food and welcomed teachers! Thanks to “Skips” for catering two lunches for these teachers at both schools!
- Easter Eggstravaganza just two weeks away at Corndawgs! Don’t miss it. Thank you to all who are already committed to volunteer and to those that have filled eggs! Thank you!
- We have a huge group committed to our Next Steps/C-3 class tonight at the Spires’ house! I love connecting people!
- Easter Sunday is just over 2 weeks away. This is a huge weekend/Sunday to remember the victory over sin and death we have through Jesus! We also have a great opportunity to invest relationally into the lives of so many people in our community that will come to worship with us on Easter Sunday!
- Be praying over those that you will invite and bring with you to CATGrove on Easter Sunday that God will reveal to them who He is and how much He loves them!
- Go to church at the grove.com and see the new website. Nathan is still working on it but it is awesome!
- Baptism on April 11! We will probably be baptizing a huge group!
- Romania fundraising lunch on Sunday March 28! Join us for lunch! $5 per plate or $20 max per family. Support a great cause and meet some new people!
Keep praying, keep investing, keep inviting!
