God’s Word tells us that we are created in the image of God. That is what separates us from all other beings on earth. We have a spirit element to us that transcends our physical bodies. The true “me” is not contained in this physical body. So when my physical body wears down or stops working, I do not die. I simply transition into the sphere, existence, and dimension for which I was ultimately created.
For those of us that have turned to follow Jesus, this transition moves us into a spiritual vicinity WITH God that carries an intimate relationship far greater than the relationship we have with Him while in our physical bodies. We are reunited with those loved ones that have gone before us as well. It is Heaven!
Here is the point: Officer Steve did not die last night. He simply transitioned. Based on his testimony to have turned to Jesus, he has transitioned into a personal and intimate place in the presence of God. He is enjoying Heaven.
2 Corinthians 5:8-9 (ESV)
8 Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord.
9 So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him.
Last night at approximately 10:30pm, officer Steve transitioned.
Pray for his wife, children, parents, family and many friends and fellow officers during this time.

Great Post! God Bless Officer Steve and his family!!!
