Mali Mission:
Words cannot express how incredible the trip to Mali was. Here are a few thoughts:
- The country is over 90% Muslim.
- The people are overwhelmingly hospitable and welcoming.
- We drove 4 hours outside the capital to MS village.
- This village did not have one follower of Jesus until Tuesday Jan. 29. Pray for the new follower of Jesus!
- The goal is for a church to be planted.
- We need for a team to return before too long in order to share with more people and disciple the new follower.
- I learned so much about storytelling in an illiterate, oral culture. This can have huge impact on how we do ministry here in the States.
Thank you to so many who were praying for our Mali trip. I got a call from my friend Chad on Sunday asking me how the trip went and telling me that people in his church were praying for us. I received another call from Darren yesterday telling me he was praying for our team. I have received emails and calls from so many people telling me they were praying. I had a team of people praying daily for our team and the trip. Thank you for all of your prayers. This is what the body of Christ should be like all the time.
