High Performance
August 10th, 2008 Posted in Leadership, Church PlantingThis past Wednesday, Nathan Boyd and I drove over to NorthStar Church at the invitation of their pastor Mike Linch to be with them for their staff leadership development. They had Dr. Bill Purvis, Pastor of Cascade Hills Church in Colombus, GA. He spoke to us about what it takes to be High Performance people.
High Performance people:
- They want to be high performance people! You have to have the “want to”. What is my “want to”.
- They have the attitude of High performance people! Do what you are gifted to do. Success is doing what you can, with what you have, where you are!
- High Performance people execute! They get the job done.
- High performance people push to grow. Listen, read, ask questions etc.
- High Performance people can process volumes of information. (We must cultivate the passion and discipline of reading and pass it on to our children.)
- High Performance people bounce back after taking a hit! (That is personally encouraging to me.) Leaders are going to be accused and challenged. Endurance and perseverance is key to lasting success.
- High Performance People enjoy the fruit of their work.
