I have a question that doesn&#039;t pertain to your blog post, however I thought it would be a good open discussion.  If the apostalic fathers learned directly from the apostles, and likewise the apostles from Jesus, why has &quot;sola scriptura&quot; protestant based churches dismissed all the ritual that supposedly came from the apostalic fathers.  I read that Ignatius of Antioch wrote (from his personal experience and training from Peter) that the Church is truly catholic. Ignatius dressed and served like a catholic priest, so it would be logical that Peter did as well.  Furthermore, is the eucharist not so vital that merits being taken each and every Sunday?
